Calendar on my iMac, iPhone, and iPad all give me notifications of when birthdays are coming up. I also use the stock Reminders app that ships with iOS, and that app has its own Reminders list that contains all the birthdays in my Contacts. It also sends me notifications when birthdays are coming, so I get Push Notifications from both Calendar and Reminders. (Overkill? Maybe. But I'm terrible at remembering birthdays and need all the help I can get.)
My brother wants to do the same on his iPad and iPhone. However, I cannot remember how I was able to create a Birthday Reminders list in the stock Reminders app that pulls birthday data from Contacts and sends me notifications of all upcoming birthdays. (He doesn't use a Mac, only iPhone and iPad.)
As an alternative to the Reminders app and Siri, you can use an online web app to set yourself a reminder. Remember that you’ll need to ensure that your MacBook isn’t muted for this to work. Apple Notes and Reminders are two of my most-used apps, and each has received significant updates in iOS and iPadOS 14. Though neither app’s improvements have been held up as tentpole features of this fall’s releases, Apple has nonetheless given noteworthy attention to making the user experience for each app better in a variety of key ways.
I see in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Default Alert Times, you can set alerts for Calendar to remind you. But what about having Reminders.app do the same? I know I didn't create this list by manually adding birthdays; I'm too lazy for that. It's definitely auto-generated from Contacts.
Does anyone else remember how to do this?
Thanks.

Best Reminder App For Mac

Yay! Thanks to carolineags suggestion, I figured it out! My best solution is slightly different: Starting with the application for which I want to create a Reminder (Notes, Calendar and E.mail tried so far) I highlighting the entire heading (subject line in e.mails), then right click and will get a dropdown with the Share option. From there choose which application you want to share with (I only tried application --> Reminders). I am SUCH a happy camper!!🙂
How To Put Reminders App On Mac Windows 10
Played around with this a little. Going from Reminders to Notes only put the Reminders title in the Note. You can highlight Notes first word, last word, or entire title; however, highlighting one word will duplicate that word in your Reminders.
