Wordpress Desktop App
Tried out the new Mac App Store last night. Installs are pretty sweet. Interface is well done. But lifehacker provides some good notes on why there is some initial awful aspects to it. There’s no way to register my existing apps so they take advantage of all this goodness in install/update. I have twenty or so apps that I use and although some of them are free open source tools, I do have software that I’ve paid for. It’d be great if Apple and the OS X dev community figured out a way to enable registration of existing programs with this new App Store. I notice some people are complaining that the App Store isn’t a part of iTunes. I don’t personally see that as an issue. Its OK for me for this to be separate.
If I had to name one reason that people will like the Mac App Store though its “Angry Birds” for the Mac. 🙂
