Account Creation:
- Direct your browser to ClinicalKey.
- On the ClinicalKey home page, click on the Register link.
- Complete the registration form and then click on Register.
- Click on Continue.
- On your mobile device, download the ClinicalKey App.
- Choose Global as your ClinicalKey edition.
- Choose ClinicalKey as your role (other roles are not supported).
- Enter your ClinicalKey username and password. Click on the Login button. Do NOT use Institutional Login.

Updates & Expiration:
In order to maintain uninterrupted access, you must log in to your ClinicalKey account from any on-site Pitt or UPMC computer at least once every 6 months.

Includes evidence-based, peer reviewed medical information and provides access to more than 1,000 reference books, 600 journals, 2,900 drug monographs, 17,000+ videos, Clinical Overview, and more.

If you do not see the option to register, your browser window frame may be too narrow. Click on the hamburger icon (three horizontal bars) in the upper right-hand corner and you should see the option to 'Login or Register'.
- When you click “Sign up now”, you will be taken to a form to create an account.You must use your FIU e-mail to create your account so that Elsevier recognizes you have access to its product via your affiliation with FIU.
- Be sure to remember the credentials you create here.
- ClinicalKey will display an activation message and send you a confirmation e-mail.
- In the confirmation e-mail, click the link to 'officially start your remote access'.
- After you create an account via the FIU Medical Library website, open the app on your mobile device and sign in. You should only have to do this once.
- Open the app and choose the 'Global' edition.
- Choose your 'role' by ignoring the versions that reference nursing and pharmacology. Just click the top result, which is the most general version and simply called 'ClinicalKey'.
- You will be prompted to sign in.
- You may have to re-activate your account every 180 days.
